Welcome!
I have always since a very young age been fascinated by chemistry.
Burning Bengal fires in the backyard of the apartment house where I lived
was not very popular with the neighbors. However, I continued experimenting by adding different salts to get the fire to display various colors.
A few years afterward, in the mid 70ies, I came in contact with the first hand calculators and computers. An abandoned HP computer at my school became
the subject of mine and a friends interest and care. These events, I think, molded me so when I got the chance to join the two interest into a profession
I made sure that I didn't miss the opportunity.
Quantum chemistry, theoretical chemistry and computational chemistry are the very instruments by which we can bring chemistry from being alchemy, an art based more
on gut feeling than logic, to a mature science in which all chemical phenomenons have a logical and clear explanation. I'm truly blessed to have the opportunity to
be a part of this science and it is with pride I call me a quantum chemist.
I invite you to explore my web pages, to see my contributions to the subject, and the rest of the web to learn more in general about this interesting subject.
