The teachers of the European Summerschool in Quantum Chemistry (ESQC) are proud to announce the third and updated edition of the lecture notes used at the school. These notes cover most aspect of modern quantum chemistry and its implementation into computationals tools and computer codes. They have been written by international experts in the field. We have therefore felt that they should be made available to a wider audience than the students of the school. We have also noticed a demand for them to be used in courses in computational quantum chemistry around the world.
The exercise section contains a large number of exercises covering all the chapters listed. We beleive that these books (3 volumes) represents an excellent teaching material. The text has developed during a time span of 13 years (the first school was held in 1989), but has all the time been updated and kept at the frontline of the research.
